The Cyclepaths ( Here comes some photos)

It seems a long time ago that three young men (and one slightly more mature) Simmo, Jason, Andy and Steve from Pissouri told us that they wished to cycle around the entire Island to raise money for the Friends. After some delays and disappointments they set off for seven grueling days in March 2008.

Unfortunately the ride around the North was not possible; but they covered the rest of the Island, including many punishing hills on their donated bikes (thank you Extreme Bike Shop) They stayed overnight free in various hostelries, such as Linos in Kakopatria and Odessa in Protaras (thanks to the proprietors).

Their journey was fuelled only by water supplied free by Agros Water, though a nightly Guiness or two helped settle the dust of the day. Even when they had finished cycling for the day the lads went around the shops asking for donations for the Friends.

In a recent ceremony on the Hospice roof garden a cheque for over €4000 was given to our Secretary Keith. Their efforts were applauded, and their blister scars admired. Anyone out there wishes to emulate, we can give you the telephone number!

Events for your Support

April 21st. Hospice 3rd birthday celebration. Join us on the Ocean Flyer for a cruise with champagne and canapés to start. Enjoy a buffet dinner and indulge in a chocolate fountain on return to the Harbour. Entertainment included all in for €25 sponsored by Executive Weddings (not obligatory to get married that day). Bar on board and a birthday raffle.
